Fault Tolerant Sensor Network
What is FTSN?
The “Fault Tolerant Sensor Networks with Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence” (FTSN) product ensures accurate data collection from a sensor network even in the presence of sensor failures or miscommunication by providing precise data replacement in real time. This product will include a data processor that connects to each node in a sensor network and collect the data from each one. The product will monitor the status of each of the data connections. If/When there is a failure in one or more of the data streams, the product will launch a Machine Learning (ML) algorithm which will predict the data in real time that would be coming in from that sensor within the defined accuracy of the sensor as shown in its datasheet. Thus, the Fault Tolerant Sensor Networks with ML/AI product replaces a sensor node in real time in case of a failure. The product will have a user interface that displays the measured and predicted data, the accuracy of the ML algorithm, as well as which sensors are failing and working

Why Would You Need FTSN?
Say for example you were overseeing a shipment of perishable foods and wanted to monitor the conditions of each pallet carrying your products with a sensor network. It would be crucial for you to be able to monitor the status of each pallet while also having a fail safe for system failures. In our example video to the right you can see how each pallet inside the shipping container is being represented by a bubble. Color being an indicator of the varying temperatures within the shipment container. Being that there are significant temperature differences in each pallet, the product quality will vary from pallet to pallet. With FTSN you can monitor the temperature distributions to determine the quality of each pallet and provide first-expired/first out instead of the first-in/first-out methodology to boost overall product quality.
